Nicole Scherzinger's Globetrotting Family

Nicole Scherzinger's Globetrotting FamilyNicole Scherzinger plans to raise her family in Switzerland and America.

The Pussycat Dolls star's boyfriend, motor racing star Lewis Hamilton, currently lives in Geneva while she resides in Los Angeles and they will continue to divide their time between continents even when they have children.

My girlfriend lives in LA, so it will probably be split between there and here

Lewis said: "Geneva is a beautiful city. I like Monte Carlo, but I prefer this. I've lived here for two years and think my home will be here and the States in the future. My girlfriend lives in LA, so it will probably be split between there and here. This is a great place to raise a family."

Lewis also revealed the couple constantly send each other picture messages on their mobile phones to help cope with lengthy periods apart.

He said: "I take pictures of everything in my life and I have a very long distance relationship, so it's how I communicate."

Tired and Embarrassed, Saif shocks everyone

Tired and Embarrassed, Saif shocks everyoneThe recent hectic round of production-related activities and marketing culimating in the painful process of pacifying the Sikh federations about the length of his beard, has taken a toll on Saif Ali Khan.

The actor is exhausted and completely not in the mood for any more events related to the film.

The premiere last night was held in Delhi instead of Mumbai. This would be construed as odd behaviour considering all of Saif and Kareena’s friends together at a Mumbai premiere would have constituted almost the entire industry. And they were just a phonecall away.

Says Saif, “That’s precisely why we decided not to have a premiere in Mumbai. I’d have had to call up everyone personally and ask them to come. It would’ve seemed like asking for a favour. And I don’t want anyone to watch my film out of a sense of generosity.”

The last-minute decision to shift the venue of the premiere to Delhi kept most of Saif’s colleagues out. But it didn’t stop Akshay Kumar from rooting for Love Aaj Kal from London. Akshay prophesied it would be a big hit.

Saif is delighted. “I’m so happy Akshay said that. I wish the industry would show more kindness towards films. When Kareena’s Kambakkt Ishq came there was so much negativity about it. It’s scary.”

It’s this fear of an anticipatory wail that provoked Saif to transfer the premiere venue.

“It wasn’t really a premiere in Delhi. Just a screening for people close to us, ” clarifies Saif. “Only the cast and crew and people connected with the film were there. That’s the way we wanted to keep it.”

But Saif and Kareena’s friends in Mumbai are none too pleased. One of his leading ladies with whom he recently did a racy film says, “What’s the point of a premiere in Delhi when the whole industry is in Mumbai? I’d have definitely gone, for Saif and Imtiaz Ali’s sake. I want to see what they’ve done together.”

But Saif isn’t really bothered. It has been a hectic time for him. “Earlier producers like Ramesh Taurani made me do a lot of publicity for their films. Now I totally followed that model for my own production. And I’m exhausted. When I was younger I found publicity boring. Now I know better.”

The experience of producing a film has helped Saif understand the value of economizing. “I used to waste a lot of money and I’m not proud of it. It’s not about cutting corners. It’s an art to respect money.

I’ve seen my wealthy friends buying the right air tickets, booking the right room at the best possible prices. We did go a tiny bit over-budget in my first production. Next time it won’t happen.”

Clarkson claims songwriter/producer Ryan Tedder sent her the ballad Already Gone without telling her he'd already offered it to Beyonce.

Sony Music executives ignored Clarkson's pleas not to release the track because it sounded too much like Beyonce's Halo - prompting her to publicly criticise Tedder and her bosses at the label.

But the Since U Been Gone singer has consented to promote the tune, which she performed at a free concert on US TV show Good Morning America, drawing thousands of fans to New York City's Central Park.

The singer explained earlier this week, "In the end, they're releasing it without my consent. It sucks, but it's one of those things I have no control over. I already made my album. At this point, the record company can do whatever they want with it. It's kind of a s**tty situation, but... you know, you learn."

Michael Jackson Mad With Bad

Michael Jackson Mad With BadMichael Jackson thought 'Bad' was a flop.

The pop icon - who died of a suspected cardiac arrest last month - was unhappy the album failed to match the success of its predecessor, 'Thriller', despite selling over 25 million copies.

His friend and collaborator Quincy Jones - who produced Michael's biggest three LPs, 'Off the Wall', 'Thriller' and 'Bad' - said: "He sold 25 million copies of 'Bad'. That's a lot of records. But Michael wanted to sell 100 million. In his bathroom he had written '100 million' on the mirror in lipstick.

Every city I go to, at midnight, I hear 'Billie Jean', I hear 'Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough', I hear 'Wanna Be Starting Something'

"I said, 'Michael, nobody's going to convince me that 25 million is a bomb."

Although Michael is classed as one of the greatest musicians of all time by critics, Quincy admits he is still amazed by the enduring popularity of the 'Smooth Criminal' hitmaker.

He added: "He was inventive and experimental. He'd try anything.

"Every city I go to, at midnight, I hear 'Billie Jean', I hear 'Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough', I hear 'Wanna Be Starting Something'. His music is still dominant. It's astounding."

Shakira: ‘I’m a Terrible Actress’

ShakiraShakira will never return to her acting roots — because she was a “terrible” actress.

The Hips Don’t Lie singer, 32, started out as an actress in a bid to get famous –but she was so bad, she never wants to appear on screen again.

“I acted once — years ago,” she says. “I was such a terrible actress, so I stopped. I’m always making up excuses not to take up any roles that I’m being offered.

“I don’t know. I am very unsure about my skills as an actress so I don’t know.”

The Colombian star recently revealed that she used to find it really “difficult” when it came to writing songs — because she had to look up every word in an English-Spanish dictionary.

“Writing songs used to be so difficult for me,” said Shakira, whose latest album is mostly in English. “A few years ago I could barely speak English and I used to write my songs with a dictionary.

“It was a real labor of love and I would sit there for hours just looking up words. But now thankfully it comes to me more naturally and spontaneously.”
